His expertise that he has gained, is specific for that job and that work environment, which can not be found in a new employees in the job market out there.
This speciality makes the employee more precious and compels the employer to work out a strategic plan to retain that employee by hiking his pay or often by providing additional entertainment and fun at work. Some companies arrange fun tours and retreats once a year for all their employees in turns at the employers’ cost with the sole view of keeping the employees happy and satisfied, for they believe, that this would result in more dedication, more loyalty and would put an end to the employees’ urge to shift job frequently.
Luring employees with monetary benefits don’t last long, instead, creating a clear idea among the employees that more quantity and quality of work would fetch them the opportunity for bonuses and promotions in recognition of their continued hard work.
Employees must be encouraged to have healthy competition in their effort to show their ability to work hard, be loyal to the company and to be motivated in climbing up the promotional ladder in the organizational structure.
