Employers Management Strategies
In a business organization, inter departmental co-ordination is vital for achieving the objectives and fueling further growth by managing its vital, well-qualified and highly trained work force. Management must ensure that every employee is given a clear chance to express themselves, to demonstrate their skills to their immediate superiors or even better directly to the higher authority in the Human Resources area. Periodical reviews of job performance of every employee must be documented by collecting appraisal reports and wherever there is a positive change in work output, handling of work for the better should be openly appreciated and given a word of praise in presence of other employees.
This would make the employee feel that the management is very much concerned and do not hesitate to recognize anyone’s improvement and that his efforts were not gone unnoticed.
In the constant effort of the management to develop it’s human resources, It should arrange joint meetings of all staff members of all categories, for work related discussions or even for a fun evening. During this kind of meeting, employees ideas and feed backs for betterment of the output and the overall development of the performance of the company, could be requested / heard from the employees themselves.
While accepting reasonable, practical changes expressed, the non-practical, suggestions that might adversely affect the company’s performance in the long run, should be politely put off, instead of rejecting it outright and be given an explanation why it would not be feasible for the company to implement such practices.
Spending on training an employee is investing on people, like you make a careful decision on selecting which company stocks you buy. You should also be analyzing on whom to invest on, meaning who should be given training, in order to get the best of it in the future. No organization can afford to let its managers lose focus on in the current business climate. Now is the time to redouble every manager’s commitment to hands-on coaching. That means negotiating to set ambitious goals with clear parameters and realistic deadlines and then cajoling, motivating and inspiring great performance.
