Achieving career development by setting goals

The setting up of goals and making master plans for your accomplishments or executionswith no flaws, are the prime skills needed for success. For, these goals and plans would determine your ambitions or long dreams of a successful career.Before starting to work towards your career achievement, one must set a clear goal, on what he or she wants to be, what kind of job or business would be of his interest, what kind of life he would love to lead, what level of achievement in wealth building would be satisfying for him, and things as such. Once the fundamental career goals are set, he must work out a plan to execute and work hard towards the goals. On working out , there are many discouraging or frustrating results or opinions and advices bound to come your way, not from far but from the close quarters like your friends or colleagues, saying ‘’Oh.. You’re trying to count the stars on the sky’’

Comments like these are not to be taken as the ultimate criticism or the only truth about your goals that may sound impossible for that person who commented that way. That comment actually shows how pessimistic he or she is.

Most people, though they claim they don’t care for anyone, they actually get strongly influenced by negative comments and opinions of others.

At the same time, while setting goals and drawing plans of executing them with highly positive thinking, you must also be prepared to encounter temporary setbacks and unexpected failures.

A failure in an attempt is not to be looked at as the result of the whole process but instead it should serve as a reminder/warning to correct or fine tune shortcomings in the plan, effort or may be the very skill. If failure seems to point at lack of a particular skill, then it is high time that the required skills must be given a thought and worked towards enhancing them. Well worked out plan, hard work and commitment are the basics for achieving a career goal.
